I find it an escape, being able to project my imagination on to paper (or the laptop, as the case may be). Whether, for me, it's words in the form of a story, or artwork like the amazing pieces we see on this very site, I find it frees the mind to express in these ways.

Writing the stories I write allows me to express my imagination, thoughts and ideas. I can create worlds, characters; events, scenes and whole histories. I expect it's the same for all you artists out there. Writing and then visiting this site allows me to look into others' imaginations. It allows me to see what you see, and through that, it amazes me how so many of us see similar things. Some of the stories I write, characters or monsters I describe, are revealed (almost) in some of the amazing artwork I see on here, and i find it a joy. 'Oh, that looks like the streets of Wesson,' I might say, or, 'Ha! That knight is amazing, he reminds me of a character from Black Cross.'

I guess what I am trying to say, is thank you all for sharing with us your stunning pieces of art - insights into your boundless imaginations. For after writing, coming on here to see the fantastical images you all share, helps me realize there are countless mystical wolds out there, in our own heads. And we, all of us, have our own ways of projecting them on to paper...
